Hazrath Maulana Tariq Jameel (db) has adviced in one of his dars that people today make duas for children to grow up and become an aalim, haafiz, etc but of more importance that that is the dua that Allah subhahu wa ta'ala makes our kids obedient (to Allah swt, Prophet pbuh, and parents).notice that Hazrath emphasized upon obedience even more than becoming an aalim or haafiz. We were in the majlis of Shaikh Yunus Jaunpuri (db) (Shaikh ul Hadith of Mazaahir al Uloom and one of top-most scholar of Hadith in the world) while we were in khurooj when some guest came and requested him to name his baby daughter, so Hazrath suggested 'Khadijah' but the guest said aren't there any other? (because there was already someone in the family or extended family with that name) but Hazrath said, at this moment I can't think of any name that is of more virtue (fazeelat) than 'Khadijah'. – The importance of cultivating our children before it is too late.Congratulations brother.Alhamdulillah great news and great name too. – A warning against musical instruments and singing.
– Being grateful to Allāh for saving us from shirk and bid’ah. – Being plentiful in the remembrance of Allāh. – The fear, hope and reliance of the ‘ulamā’. – The meaning of Allāh being near to His servants. – The consequences of committing sins, and the need to protect our hearts.
– Following the example of the Prophet ﷺ regarding tasfiyah and tarbiyah. – The proof that we are pleased with Islām as our religion. – The necessity of obeying the Messenger ﷺ. – Shaykh ‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) on the importance of saying, “None has the right to be worshipped except Allāh in truth.” – Shaykh al-Albānī (رحمه الله) on the error of saying “nash-hadu” (we testify) by those who give sermons.
